Leadership & Board Coaching

Embarking on a new journey can be an exciting prospect, especially when compassion takes the lead. That said, compassion does not guarantee success and sustainability. It is critical for organizational leaders to develop a clear understanding of what their strategic vision looks like, and whether or not their vision aligns with partners and stakeholders. It is also important for leaders to identify what they are bringing into the system, as founders because their use-of-self will influence the culture of the organization for years to come.

“The biggest help was working with us to identify our goals. Corey's approach to helping us develop a shared understanding of our mission, vision, and objectives was comprehensive and insightful.”

-Celeste Winders, Co-director, Strategic Education Advocacy

Team Project Collaboration & Visioning

I've collaborated with teams on myriad projects. In one such opportunity, I worked with an entrenched advocacy committee for two years. We met monthly to discuss our goals, but it felt like something was missing. We seemed stuck in the formulaic delivery of our collective desires to do good. We needed more. We needed to tap into our own values and take our group to the next level: a purpose statement. This statement was long overdue, and it was an exciting step toward new possibilities. I led, and facilitated, a visioning activity to help our team target what we valued most. Once we defined the direction we wanted to travel, we modified our path. Over time, the group was able to hone in on the projects that supported our advocacy efforts, and let go of the projects that didn't. I was honored and grateful that the team trusted me to help lead them to such an important goal.

“In a recent committee meeting to develop a purpose statement, Corey introduced structured activities to identify feelings, values, and priorities to better frame our goals. I found this helped focus us as a group to identify what was important, at the same time allowing everyone to feel heard.”

-Evie Holt, Animal Services Project Coordinator

Personal Development Visioning and Strategy

The universe has been sending me creatives. I love creatives! It can be challenging for anyone to acknowledge and name one's calling, and I think it can be especially difficult for artists, musicians, culinary innovators, jewelry designers, photographers, writers, and other visionaries whose imaginations work overtime to color our world with beauty and experiences we can look forward to. I worked with one such artist, who is learning how to re-imagine her "informal training" as a lifetime of expertise and a new identity. Helping clients create a shift in the way they frame their experiences is incredibly powerful, and I am honored to share in this process.

"I am an artist and I’ve been struggling for years to find the courage to share my talents with the world yet never finding the strength to get off the ground. In our very first session, through
careful nudging and thoughtful queries, Corey helped me zero in on what’s been holding me
back then we created three action plans to get me out of my head and into my heart.
It’s wonderful to have a dream but if it remains a dream then we aren’t living our authentic
selves. With Corey’s help and guidance I know I’ll be able to soar."

-Trisha MacNamee

Workshop Design & Presentation and Training

Hoarding and disorganization are challenging behaviors and when a vibrant imagination is in play, it can be nearly impossible to part with the bounty of inspirational finds that speak to the next creative endeavor. During the eight years I connected with people as a professional organizer, I learned many things, one of which is to meet people where they are. In an effort to reach those with challenges, I designed and delivered workshops in Sonoma County. My workshop goals were simple: help individuals understand that they are not alone, that their challenges are driven by complex emotions, and that there is hope for change. I focused on creating a safe environment for discussion, while making the workshops fun and engaging. I continue to be inspired by the extraordinary people I met. While my professional life continues to see a demand for designing captivating workshops, I am determined to make them dynamic spaces for judgment-free learning.

"The family is so happy for me. I haven't showed them the before pictures as I can't bear to look myself. I love my space. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

- Karen R., Super Organized Client

Operational Excellence

Envisioning how to match people with technical systems, in prospective building plans, is critical to the success of an organization that has an eye on the future. My aptitude for data research and analysis helped support an executive who is planning the "campus of the future." I collected data on facility use, and reviewed workflow to help identify relationships, examine the proximity of equipment to people, and consider efficiencies that will help teams and work groups align their goals with work processes. It is encouraging to know that people I have come to appreciate will be supported by reliable and available tools, and the space in which to serve their mission unencumbered.

"Corey's role at Marin Humane requires independent consideration and decision making on a number of organizational components. She has evaluated and refined processes and procedures, coordinated complex projects involving multiple departments, and orchestrated comprehensive new tactics to improve organizational email communication."

- John Reese, Chief Administrative Officer
